In the late '90s, a girl with a passion for dance laid the foundation for what is now our thriving dance community, Dance Heels Up. Her love for dance was infectious, often seen dancing with her aunts or around caravan poles, embodying the essence of dancing like no one's watching. She wasn’t just a dancer; she thrived in competitive teams, coached with passion, and was captivated by the allure of Latin and pole dancing. Fast forward to 2015, Aimee, feeling uninspired by the gym scene, envisioned something more dynamic and personal – the birth of Dance Heels Up.

Starting in her parents' garage in Somerville, Dance Heels Up began with heels and twerk classes, and competitive hip hop teams. This humble space quickly transformed into a launchpad for state and national champions and a nurturing ground for beginners. But it was more than just classes; it was a hub for empowerment and confidence through dance.

The story of Dance Heels Up is also a tale of friendship. When Rachel joined one of the early classes in 2015, her bond with Aimee was instant. They became a testament to the strong, lasting female friendships formed through dance. Post-pandemic, Dance Heels Up made a remarkable comeback. In 2022, we saw 22 students shine in our first post-pandemic showcase. By 2023, that number grew to 55, with students captivating audiences in both a matinee and a sold-out evening show.

Today, Dance Heels Up is more than just a studio; it's a sanctuary where women find confidence, friendship, and the sheer joy of dance. We are a symbol of community, confidence, and commitment, continuously inspiring and supporting each other in our dance journey.
